Story of the Grand Café

The Grand Café opened its doors in July of 1987 in conjunction with the Commonwealth Hilton. As the premier restaurant and night club in Northern Kentucky, the Grand Café made a name for itself by providing high quality service and outstanding fresh, creative food.  For this reason the Grand Cafe quickly gained a loyal local following.  In the early 1990’s on any night of the week you could hear the sounds of Woodwind Steel and on every Sunday morning our guests would dine on our lavish Sunday brunch. Over the years public tastes changed and large Sunday brunches were no longer as popular, so in September of 2002 the Grand Cafe discontinued the Sunday brunch. The Café focused instead, on our same high quality food and service that had given us such a loyal local following.

In 2006, the Grand Café completed its extensive renovation. Our “new” Grand Café and Blue Martini bar is now a more contemporary and updated local favorite with the same quality food and courteous service.  The back lit Blue Martini Bar gives our guests that downtown Chicago atmosphere with a good dose of Northern Kentucky comfort and pricing. Our extensive menu has all the components of a great steak house as well as a fresh seafood restaurant. Eight cuts of steak, steak house salads and a 1600 degree South Bend Broiler®, all help to make us the best place in Northern Kentucky to dine on great steak.  At further inspection, our menu also has an impressive fresh seafood selection. An ocean of ever-changing seafood options; from Crab Cakes & Shrimp to Fresh Atlantic Salmon and Ahi Tuna, all are guaranteed to make your mouth water. And don’t forget the thin Bistro style pizzas, oversized pastas, stuffed chicken and decadent desserts!

At the Grand Café we pride ourselves on delivering quality food and excellent service in an enjoyable atmosphere while being competitively priced within our local market. We continue to celebrate Mothers Day, Easter, and Thanksgiving with our award-winning brunch buffets and have expanded our special events by adding our wine tasting evening on the first Friday of every month.
